I took out the cat. convertor and see all clot inside. How do I clean it out. Need some help. Thanks

 

the clot is the honeycomb which makes a cat do what it does

 

Well..... this is illegal in about all states......but take a big screwdriver and gouge the honeycome out, but dont come crying to me when the DMV makes you put a new $900 cat back on.

Also only do this if you are morally ok with causing extra pollution.

 

Yeah. Taking all that junk out of the cat is a bad idea. It will make the car sound really nasty sometimes too.

 

Car will sound like ****.
Exhaust will be ****.
Replacing the cat will make you say ****.

Don't gut it, it's lame.

Where do you buy your cats from? I know that there are fines of around 2000 for not having a cat, but you can get one from like autozone for around 80, i think.

But a high-flow cat instead of jamming a screwdriver through your stock one.
