Default What "Car and Driver" wrote....

I got this from an article regarding a 1999 Integra Gs-R..

Highs:Addictive Clutch and shifter, point and squirt chassis
Lows: An aute lack of luxury and en even acuter lack of noise suppression
The Verdict: The bare essentials still satisfy, but more comfort and refiniement are overdue

....Yet the almost-seven-year-old Integra is assuredly showing its age. For starters, its 8100-rpm engine is now dowright buzzy.....although the Integra's steering is direct, it too feels a little arthritic-heavy at slow speeds abd a bit too willing to transmit wheel imapcts......The solemnity of its all-black interior is relieved only by a wash-me-gray Huggies headlinter, and its basement-dweller rear seats are divided by a piece of flat plastic useful only for serving pizza.

I think those guys are idiots...especially when talking about the engine noise, i love ittt

And yeah they list the Gs-R's 1/4 mile time at 15.7@90MPH,,is this true, i thought it was a bit less.

I wish the interior was all black instead of the gray pillars and headliner. Anyone else agree?? I think it looks stupid with the half black/half gray interior. Matter of fact out took mine out and painted all the gray parts black... looks much better!

I seriously disagree. I love the grey.

Road & Track said the GS-R runs a 15.6, if memory serves me correctly, so CandD is about right. I agree that the engine's a little buzzy, but I really don't mind. I just wish it sounded more aggressive. However, I absolutely hate the clutch ... but love the shifter! I think this is because I'm so used to the immediacy of my EJ8's ACT HDSS clutch kit, which, though completely streetable, engages very quickly. And the steering's heavy at slow speeds? Seems okay to me.

That link of the sedan and coupe years 92-00 being the same... Does that mean side skirts are interchangable too?

Seriously, best clutch ever! Holds more power than I'll ever have and feels perfect for my shifting/driving style. And about the side skirts, I have no clue. I only post from experience, and I don't have any experience with side skirts. Sorry!
