tach, gas, temp gauge stopped workin..HELP PLEASE!
89 si hatch with 200,000 miles. i stopped at a friends house for a lil bit and when i left i first noticed i had no gas, than no rpm's then no temp but i could tell how fast i was goin bc the speedo still worked. is there ne one who has experienced this or could point me in the right direction on ho to fix this.....thanks!
listen to the doctor, also if you've had it apart recently, the plugs are sometimes finicky to go back in right, seem to work, but then could fall out down the road. but if you had the cluster out, you'd have probably checked that first before posting here.
thanks dr_latino999, i forgot to check that and no bagpipe goatee i havent taken the cluster apart or got a new one put i see what your sayin about the plugs not bein in right but nah i dont think they are out, i mean is it likely that they could just come out with me driving, like out of no where?

are there directions in the haynes manuel on how to take apart the cluster? i couldnt find it in my manuel but is there any way someone could tell me how to take it apart for me to look at the plugs? thanks......
I had the same problem before but out of nowhere it got fixed. I tried to troubleshoot it with no luck but something always told me it had something to do with my distributor. I wish I really knew what happen.
about taking apart the cluster, haynes i'm pretty sure doesn't cover it. haynes sucks, anyway. its not hard to take apart, just remember don't pull off the needles because the gauges can get messed up. they don't always, but often they do.
