Default What to do about fender and bumper damage

Alright. What do you think would be the best way to fix this? Obviously it was my fault and I don't think it makes sense to file a claim with my insurance company if I can fix it for less than my deductible. There are 3 options I can think of:

1. Keep looking for white bumper and fender at local junkyards, ebay, and car-part.com (Cheapest option).

2. Order non-oem replacement parts and have them painted at Miracle... probably over $500

3. Order painted parts from virtualbodyshop.com will be about $390 + $100 for shipping

Has anyone worked with virtualbodyshop.com and are they any better than miracle?

Has anyone converted their car back to stock after having a fiberglass body kit? I am worried that there will be some parts I don't realize I will need.

I have also considered patching and repainting the bumper and replacing fender...

I plan on keeping the teg as my second car and getting an S2000 soon. I need something to be able to transport a mountain bike with and I'd like the car to be presentable enough for a date or something but, don't want to spend too much considering what it's worth(1996 LS with 96K miles). Thanks in advance for any advice.

Oh yeah. How do you think the non-oem replacement parts will fit?

call around all of the local body shops. ask them if they are painting anything honda frost white. its a very very common problem/ when i had to have a bumper cover painted, it toook me about 12 phone calls andd an hour before i found somebody who was doing it. take your hood, bumper cover, and fender in to them and have it painted as art of another job. you will get it done cheaply. for an integra bumper cover i have had very good luck with this place.

they sell the nice BDW brand bumper covers. they fit right. pay the extra $ and get a primed one. its well worth it.

I think you should try to fix that bumper your self before considering buying another. I used to have a drift kit on my old cavalier that Les Schwab crashed. I got paid 1000 for the bumper, spent 30 bucks on a fiberglass kit and tried fixing it my self. After a weekend of working on it you couldn't even tell it was ever cracked. Since then I have bought used Motorcycle Fairings (Fiberglass) and repaired them too. Fiber glass repairs are really easy, not sure about making something from scratch though. But besides the 30 bucks, what do you have to lose. By the way, my bumper was 10 times as bad as that one. Good luck.

It seems like it'd be easy enough to repair the bumper but, I see normal bumpers on ebay for under $100 with shipping and I could drop it off at the body shop while I'm still driving my car... I'm just wondering if I will need any additional hardware that might have been removed 5 years ago when I got the body kit...

So, has anyone used virtualbodyshop.com? I'm starting to wonder how well the non-oem parts will fit. I guess I'll make at least one trip to some junkyards before ordering...

Well, I am hoping to find a white bumper but, a 98 would require new headlights too...(Mine is a 96)
