Has anyone been successful in fitting the 01 Honda accord rear tail lights on the 98-00 model? I know there are aftermarket tail lights for the 98-00 but I prefer the light to be red on top and clear on the bottom like the 01-02 OEM rear tail lights.

 

i wouldnt doubt that 98-02 are all the same. as long as its 2dr-2dr and 4dr-4dr

 

I was told that they 01-02 sedan tails don't fit on 98-00 models... I never heard of a real explanation why though.

 

I heard rumors about the bulb sockets being in different places. I know the housings are the exact same so maybe you would just have to extend some wires.

 

Usually asked alot, but the reason why they do not fit is becasue the 98-00 4dr trunk lid is different shaped than the 01-02 4dr reason being they won't fit.
But the outters are the only one's that are interchangeable.

 

Are you serious? They changed the actual trunk lid? Sorry, I hadn't noticed that? I guess it is like the 90-91 and 92-93. They changed the lid on those too but you can swap the trunk lid and lights if you can afford it.
