Default OS Giken / Cusco Super Single Clutch Setup . . . experiences?

I found a few posts that talked a little bit about this clutch, but it's been out for a long time now and I figured a few people had to be running it.

I have already established that it is a strapless clutch and will be VERY noisy.

Aside from this, does anyone have any opinions on this clutch as far as tranny wear and actual clutch grab?

I believe it is rated at 400hp, and I would be wanting to throw somewhere in the ballpark of 500 at it, maybe 600 if my setup surprises me.

Thanks for sharing your personal experiences w/ this clutch/flywheel in advance

Evening bump. . . I found some other non honda forums that had some reviews. I still want feedback from someone putting down some decent power in a honda.

Yeeeeeha - someone who's ran one is bound to see this sooner or later. . . perhaps FI isn't the place for it, but I think the majority of high HP folks read the FI forum. . . enough of that tangent.

Thanks for reading

not running single clutch setup but i'm running the twin-disc OS Giken setup. don't know if it helps ya but clutch feel is like stock and it grabs like a ****! grabs better than my ACT Maxx PP/4 puck/Prolite FW combo i had before. but it is noisy when the clutch pedal is pressed in which i could care less.

Do NOT the single plate metal disc setup if your car will produce 350+whp or you will be buying an overhaul kit real soon. I have used both the steel cover OS setup and the Aluminum cover OS made Cusco setup with a larger disc. MiraiZ owns my old Cusco setup so you might want to ask him to chime in on this topic. I think Kengs might be running a Cusco clutch too.

Clutch chatter is fairly loud, pedal travel is very short, pedal feel is heavy, and the clutch grabs really hard. The single clutch actually chatters louder than the twin because the pitch is higher.

My new setup uses a twin plate setup since I am runninig a T67/T3 instead of a TO4E/T3 and I am expecting it to hold 550whp with no problems. I have driven quite a few high horsepower SR20DET's, RB20/25/26, Stupra's and RX-7's with twin and triple plate setups so OS Giken is the choice for me.
