Ebay Xenon Headlight Bulbs
I know this is another stupid ebay/noob question but Looking around on ebay I saw some blue xenon headlight bulbs that would look great on my 95 teg.....but I dunno if they are legal and if they are good quality bulbs....if they are crap where can i get some good bulbs? Thnx
usually on those ads itll say "Legal in all 50 states" or whatever... My friend got a set for her car and she said that they really suck... I wouldnt bother with them. most if not all blue ones arent very good.. and if theyre okay, then they still suck in the rain(this is just what IVe heard, so I could be wrong)
If you want a good brighter bulb check out Sylvania Silverstars.

Anything is an improvement over stock. I put some Xenon 9006s in my parent's 4dr Civic so my mom could see the road at night. Its just a whiter light, making it easier to see the road.

The thing is with those blue bulbs, is that you are going to give up good lighting from the stock bulb, and take a chance on frying out your wire harness from your bulb to anywhere up to your light switch. Those colored bulbs run at hotter temps becasue they have to bump em up in order to get enough light to throw down the road, but of course it is going to be blue. Good luck going on a long road trip with blue headlights, your eyes will strain out so much. I had a set of blue bulbs in an older honda I had, and I did fry the wire harness and had to replace that and the switch, then I just replaced the bulbs back to stock.
If you want, you can do a full HID conversion with some projectors and bulbs from an Audi, or BMW, do a search on E-bay for E55 projectors and see what you come up with, this is what I did to my teg. Or you can simply buy an HID kit from http://www.plasmagarage.com like I first did a while back, BTW, you will see my blue teg on the plasmagarage website. If you do buy a kit, I strongly suggest buying or building a relay/wire harness to run the HID kit or even the colored blue bulbs directly off of the battery, that way you do not fry your harness up to your light switch.
Just my opinion, juuuuust my opinion. . . . .

I did the highbeam conversion with bluebulbs and there probably worse then normal lowbeams. The cheap ebay ones are in no way better then even stock bulbs, there not anything to really even bother with. Go with the Sylvania Silverstars or just stock ones.

HID conversion, HID conversion, HID conversion (E55). you will have to take the lights apart, and do some cutting, but they fit in the stock bracket like it was meant to be there!

Notice on the box in the above Ebay search, when you find it, look on the box of the bulbs, 100W, thats asking for a serious problem later on down the road, especially if you are going to put something like that in an older car. Normal halogen low beams will normally operate on 55 watts of power, and most of the time the wire harness in a car is designed to handle a little more than that, but to have a bulb that puts out 100watts, thats asking for a melt down!
