Is the check engine light on?
If not, check your engine oil. See if it is at the right level.

hey, that was my friend that posted for me, but i have the maintenance required light on(the green light at the bottom of the cluster). But oil is good and no check engine light. I have brought it up to 7000 before but maybe only 2 times, every other time it bounces off at 6500. What else could i check out?? Could it be the Vtec solenoid?

I'm assuming that you just bought the car, so with that in mind, check to make sure that you have the right ecu it should be a P13, the previous owner may have switched it on you.
Hey, well i thought that but the stock redline is set at 6200 so i figured it wasnt the ecu. So, i disconnected the battery to try to let the ecu re learn everything then 15 minutes later i put the battery back on. Then the aftermarket alarm system started to go crazy so i had about a 1 hour battle trying to figure out the alarm system. I disconnected the brain and still i would go to crank it and nothing would happen. So i hooked everything back up and i used the handheld unlock, lock remote thingy and i hit the unlock a couple of times and held it down and just fiddled with it and the alarm shut off. Then i started it and let it idle for 15 minutes and took it for a spin and the vtec works really good and it pulls hard in 1st
. so yeah, i think it was becuase my maintenance required light was on that caused this problem, so if this happens to anyone else you should just try to unplug the ecu and take the fuse out for at least 15 minutes and then let it idle for 15 minutes to let it re learn and drive it around.
