ok we did a b18b swap in a civic, and these wires were pulled out of the vss. and sense the engine is from an interga i figured this would be the best and fasted place to find the answel.

so.....

there are 3 wires. one is black, one is black with yellow stripe, the other is orange.

 

i forgot the info on the engine. its a 1995 engine. was told it was JDM but obiusly its not cause of the battery location.

so it does have a USDM obd1 harness on it. any help would be great. need this done by tomarow.

 

this can be deleted. i fiddled around till i got the wires in the right order.

well its a 3 wire 5v sensor, therefore, with the connector facing up, as in the clip up, ABC, Power, Signal, Ground...Just FYI, the middle wire of a 3wire sensor is the signal wire.

Power is BLK/YEL , ground is BLK and 5v ORN wire.

With the ignition switch in ON (II) or START (III), battery voltage is supplied from fuse 24 through the BLK/YEL wire to the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) . The sensor is grounded by the BLK wire. The speedometer and other control units in the circuit supply about 5 volts to the ORN wire. The vehicle speed sensor (VSS) intermittently grounds the ORN wire which generates a pulsed signal in it. The number of pulses per minute increases/decreases with the speed of the car.
