Default Painted my Valve Cover today

I got tired of my black valve cover. Plus it wasn't in the best shape so I decided to paint it. I love to ITR red vc's but everyone has that so I went with something a little different.

Started with this:


Then after some aircraft stripper and a tape job I got this:


Here it is drying:


The color is actually a little darker than what it looks like in the pic. The flash lightened it up a bit. Anyway some of you may like it, others probably won't. Either way, it's my vc and not yours

Are you planning to sand down the letters? Everything looks like it turned out great..imo i would have done a wrinkle blue effect

I put chapstick on the letters so I just have to scrape the paint off

I'm debating it. I have the clear right here next to me so I'm most likely going to do it tomorrow.

i think its hott, use an aluminum brush and get the letters and **** nice n shiney, good paint work.

Yeah I went to a couple different places and didn't find much variety. I was hoping for something close to ebp but couldn't find anything really close.
