any problems u guys know about with the type-s 2005. I am going to get one and was wondering. And any mods u guys know of to make it comparable to the subaru wrx.

the only problem im running into with my 05 type S is gear grinding...but its nothing acura wont fix with the warranty.

 

I heard there's not alot of aftermarket parts available yet for the 05 versions, that's a little sumthing you're gonna run into, at least just for now anyways.

If you mean performance enhancing parts, I'd counsel the prospective owner not to worry about that.

The 2005 Type S motors are incredible. You're not going to believe they're rated at only 210 HP. There's torque all the way across the rev range, and there's significant oomph in all gears at all times, compared to other K20 motors.

 

my girl friend just picked up a 05 type s and WOW!!. pulls really hard all the way to like 8300 RPM!! and handles like a dream. I never really liked them but DAMN!! im impressed

 

the 05's are great, you get the type r cams, type r final, type r exhaust, and a better flowing exhaust manifold. there are plenty of parts out for the 05's. intakes, exhausts, race headers, suspensions, the only thing that isnt out is hondata, once they come into the picture, the 05's are gonna be crazy fast
