Default Problem with new (Ebay) Tsudo exhaust - extention pipe?

I have a 2000 Civic DX hatchback and the system seems to be for an EX? I called the number for Top Speed (ebay seller) and they said I need an "extention pipe"? Anyone ever here of this. I included pic. I assume I need one of these: Cat Pipe

Because this system seems will fit 2000 EX and HB but with "extention pipe". On the EX/SI this pipe would go where the Cat is currently, correct? Well on the DX HB the cat is combined with the exhaust manifold. Check out the photo of my correct fitting 5Zigen full cat back (which is for sale for $50 bucks- need serious welding paid 600.00 new) and the new Tsudo missing the "extention pipe"

yeah the url of the high flow cat is all you need for the extension pipe. i just put a full tsudo exhaust/header on my 98 civic dx and i am very happy with it

you could just get a new header and high flow cat if you dont mind spending the extra bucks - it's probably a mod you will get later on.

Otherwise a test pipe will fit fine.

The old one on the right is a 5Zigen Fireball exhaust system.

Your B mid pipe should bolt up... I don't see a reason why it wouldn't by the picture. And why would you replace a 5zigen exhaust with a Tsudo?

Just use the whole mid pipe and the rear axle back of the Tsudo for now, that should work.

the b mid pipes could very well be of different lengths since they are different manufacturers. One could be an inch or 2 longer than the other.

i have one! that will fit perfectly! i bought it from some guy but never got around to installing it. so its practically new. don't go to muffler shops, they will rape you on making you a pipe/flanges/welding it.

how about $25 + $5 shipping?

its a straight thru resonated pipe. in fact, its actually a test pipe.

Break out your tape measure and make a few measurements from flange to flange. Go to a local muffler shop and have them make one for you.

You'll see when I post the pics of the 5Zigen. Notice it for sale for 50.00. I have had it on the car since 2000. It has a pretty good size hole on the exhaust can.

Here is the reason why I am replacing. It could be repaired with some patching up but I am not interested in that.

^what I would do.
Are you any good at welding, or have buddies that can weld? If so I'd buy the flanges you will need, get some pipe, and just weld the flanges onto the pipe. It looks like all you need is a straight secton, no bends or anything.

If you can't find anyone to buy the 5zigen, cut the flanges off of that and use them.

edit: i see you need a flange that fits to a cat. find an old cat and cut off the flange from that.

Your old exhaust is meant for a dx because the dx models have no catalitic converter. The new Tsudo exhaust is meant for everything but the dx so an extention pipe is needed, I bought the same exhaust for my car and they tried to tell me I needed to extention pipe but my car has a cat converter. So basically you need the pipe or a test pipe.
