Default LMA replacement

i have a 1st gen b16 and my lma have been making noise for a few weeks i've finally ordered some type r lma now when replacing the rockarms have to be removed right? i've read it hits a little i just wnated to confirm that the rockarms must be removed for this.

Yes, it would make life easier. Make sure you let the new lma's soak in oil before you install them.
