Thanks guys
I'm going to lower it about 40mm. Only problem would be with insurance, you have to tell them and they sometimes put up the price because it's seen as a modification that might make the car more attractive to thieves

what happens if you happen to forget to mention the lowering to the insurance company? i declined about any modifications when my company asked, and then they later took pictures, i still never had a problem. its just a matter of me not insuring any of the modifications so if my car is stolen i am SOL.

It's a chance you take, but if you have an accident or your car gets stolen and recovered, they can send an insurance assessor to inspect the car, he can tell the insurance company not to pay out if there are any undeclared mods.
i would love to chime in here on the insurance info.... being a licensed agent in many different states and having written/declined business i may have some info you all might want to know. also i am a licensed adjuster and can tell you from that stand point as well....
most insurance companies will decline your business for any modifications to vehicles (there are special policies that are out there) and some wont even care if you told them. its just basically based on the company and there underwriting guidelines. also you guys dont really realize that more then 90% of your aftermarket parts are still not worth more then what the stock counter parts would be brand new.
for example, my 2003 suby wrx was stolen and i had a motorized alpine cd deck that flipped out to a screen. that cost me about 800 bucks out of pocket. i know the stock cd player cost about 1100 from the factory so for me to claim that would actually lessen my insurance claim. if you guys have any questions i can answer then through PM's

Sirius I agree, grill (and emblem) is going soon. Bumpers with bumpstrips look, IMO, untidy!! I want em unadorned and clean, so I'll have to find a coupe front bumper and a 99-00 rear
