I just installed a moroso street/strip aluminum oil pan in my 94 integra gsr, and the oil light is now on. My oil pressure gauge reads 2 psi at idle. I simply replaced the stock oil pickup with the moroso one, and swaped out the pans. I checked the oil and its at the perfect level. This pan holds an extra quart of oil, and i put exactly 5 quarts in, and the dipstick reads full. It just dont have a clue as to why the light would be on....i find it hard to beleive my oil pump went bad because the oil light was not on and my oil pressure was normal just an hour before i changed pans. I also took off the moroso pan to see if the pickup was clogged or possibly loose, and everything was fine. Anyone have a clue as to what the problem may be other than my oil pump randomly going bad? Any unput would be much appreciated.

 

did you use a new gasket (on the pickup) and torque down the pickup bolts?
