Default d15b with d16 intake, headers and tranny....

So I took my d15b from my 1993 dx and swapped it into my 90 si cause the motor was blown. I'm using the tranny, intake, ecu, headers, from the 90 si. Using the si ecu on the d15b does it make a difference? If i'm on the highway at 120KM/h and i'm at 3500RPM it is normal?

A 1997 canadian SI motor is obd2 right? the si was obd0 and the d15b was obd1, but not im using my d15b with the si intake, si ecu, si headers, would i need to put the si parts on the 97 obd2 to make it work?

Thanks.

If you are using a differente tranny then the gearing is different. should know that...

96+ is obdII

and when u say D15B u mean JDM d15b? Then u can't use the pm6... as it isn't a vtec ecu

I think he means d15b7 (or the engine out of a '93 dx). I do not think he means jdm vtec d15b. Basically, he just put the d15b7 into his car (CRX) with an si ecu, intake, distributor, etc.

As far as the tranny at 3500rpm at 120km/h, that is normal, the SI transmission is gear really short. At 80 MPH I am at ~4000 rpm with my si transmission.

You need to start making sense so I can understand what you are trying to ask. I have no idea what you said.

lol sorry about not making sense. I'll try to be a bit more clear.

A the moment I have a d15b7 with the Si ecu, intake, distributor. If I get a d16z7 (97canadian si motor) will I need to take the 90 si ecu, intake and distributor to make it work?
