Default bad day at norwalk

i know this is kind of off topic for us but i saw this whole thing go down today and figured i'd share it to show you guys how important it is to check and recheck your setups before you run!!!!!

This is at norwalk in Ohio at the dsm vs. wrx battle pics speak for themselves i can't how clean this car was, and its so crazy because we were just looking it over like an hour before this.

Showdown motorsports out of toledo ohio car was completely redone over the winter (used to be black and went like 10.5ish i think). its a 1G talon tsi (gold, lined up with the AMS evo a couple pics up from the wreckage)

That sucks to hear Glad the driver is ok though. Sucks when you put all the time and money into something and it all goes away in the blink of an eye.

Hopefully he will be back up and runnign again soon.

On a sidenote my teamate won the Suburu quick 8 class at the event...

regaurdless, you don;t praise something like this. he lost probably between 30-50k in this. If you are so pissed about something turn him in. i'm not siding with the guy because i've heard he could be shady, but i've never seen proof

Those morons with the fire extinguishers were a joke. Why did it take so long for real fire suppression teams to arrive and why weren't the trackside officials equipped with the proper tools to put out a small fire before it became a huge fire? Glad the driver was OK, but the track has some questions to answer about this IMO. Another thing I find interesting is the fact that NHRA and all of the drag racing sanctioning bodies do not require on board fire suppresion systems in race cars from what I have seen. A $500 halon system with a nozzle in the engine bay could have saved the car, so sad
