Default NASA-VIR Feb 16-17 SPOTS OPEN IN ALL CATEGORIES

We still have a few novice openings, as well as intermediate and advanced HPDE. We have over 25 HPDE instructors already signed up and expect more. (Means no lead/follow type instruction.)

The Competition Driver school has only 6 spots left. We will have a seperate core of RACE qualified instructors for the Comp school.

We currently have many spots open for the Valentine 200 as the track allows over 80 cars for this type of event. (Not that we would put that many on the track.)

The late fee deadline (Feb 6) is rapidly approaching and we typically get a ton of registrations the day before the deadline. Please plan accordingly.

The gate at VIR will be open day and night throughout the event and camping is available directly through VIR.

THE ROSEN DISCOUNT IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR HPDE.

Grumpy

From the desk of the registrar

Novice is just about there.
Intermediate is getting there.
Advanced - I have 8 more Vettes signing up, but have rrom for more

Can always use good instructors - especially since we are also having the comp school. Some folk here have siad they are instructing but I don't have registrations for you......

4 more spots in the comp school.

Where are the racers? (Ah, yes they are waiting )........

If it isn't too much of a pain, who has signed up for the race so far?

Nothing is sacred.

I know of at least 5 more cars coming and a promise from some way Northerners if the weather holds out.

You know an RX-7 won't run for 2.5 hours

Oh great. Maybe we should attach rubber bumpers around all of our cars. Seriously- to the Honda-Challenge people - stay FAR away from this car. I know there are a lot of people doing the Honda Challenge because they don't want their cars messed up doing wheel to wheel, but this kid has NO respect for ANYBODY's car, including his own. Those at either Summit race probably know what I'm talking about. This is the kid who actually made car to car contact with 3 different cars in one race. Grumpy, you will have your formal complaint against him in writing before this enduro....

I didn't know that ECHC classes were being offered for the enduro. I guess I'll run H5 if we are doing that...

You just needed somebody to yell "Gas! Gas! Gas!" on the uphill. I'll prerecord it, and you can put it in your tape player while you're on track.

Matt

If you are signed off by your instructor, I think I can ride along with you, right?

If Grumpy chooses to recognize ECHC classes for the race, that's fine.
But it isn't an ECHC points race, and I'm not buying the trophies .

ALL NASA classes are allowed with the exception of those without fenders. THIS IS NOT A POINTS RACE FOR ANY CLASS. Chris is buying the trophies and the beer.

It this a Speedvision Cup Vette? Has he run with us before? Maybe if we are lucky, he'll blow the Neon off the track and make things safer for the rest of us.

There are some very interesting cars coming. Some that have not sent in entries yet.

Watch the HPDE Advanced group also. Lots of people whose race cars aren't yet ready for the season just coming out to play.

Oh and a few people in the Comp School are there because they heard how good our schools were and wanted some more training. They will be running in the Enduro also.

It's going to be a very exciting weekend.

I will be making the trek out to the east coast to drop off my #88 Civic next week. I'll be there with Grant Lockwood in the Civic and Prelude. Maybe even for the enduro! Let me know if someone would like a personal coach for the day. Or maybe your school could use some help.
