JDM ITR Header... with a stock ITR cat?
Ok I have a question that has possibly been asked before? But im sick of sifting through the hundreds of pages that come up searching for ITR CAT and HEADER and various variations. Anyways, I have a B18C5 in my 95 Ej. I also have a JDM ITR header which isnt installed. I have a stock DX cat (lol) on a Apex WS exhaust. Now rather than go with a carsound or other high-flow cat, I was wondering if any of you knew if a stock ITR cat would bolt up to the WS exhaust.. obviously i would weld on a new 2.5 in flange to it, but otherwise, would the length work? Would i be able to trim enough of the end off when changing the flange so it bolts up? Im trying to keep it so i at least have a CHANCE of passing emissions lol.. THX

Depending upon which high-flow cat you select, you shouldn't have a problem passing emissions testing. That being said, the ITR cat is approximately 17.5" long, flange-to-flange. All you need is a measuring tape and you should be able to determine how much length adjustment, if any, is necessary. I believe the Civic cat is roughly the same length as that of the Integra, but I can only positively confirm this fact with regard to a Civic Si cat, not a 5th gen. DX.

Thanks. Thats what I thought. Can you recommend a descent cat? I haven't hurt much good about carsound, as far as functioning as an actual cat.
