Default b16 seems to be misfiring

I have a jdm b16 in my crx dx and have new plugs, wires, cap, rotor and my car seems to be misfiring at part throttle but fixes itself when I give it more gas. Anybody know whats wrong. Could this misfire be detonation? What is detonation like?

Would having bosch plugs in affect it and what gap for the plugs should I use on the b16? .44?

Step one, throw away the plugs and get NGK. Bosch = German. Honda = Japanese.

How did you wire the O2 sensors? If you only have one, the ecu will be upset. It will tend to stumble at part throttle, but then clears up when you go farther in the throttle. The same thing may happen if the O2 wires are reversed.

Went and got ngk, but havent drove it yet. Wouldnt the o2 throw a code? I have no codes.

Usually not, the OBD0 ecus are so lax when it comes to setting codes.

No, my evidence is empirical. I have pulled many Bosch plugs out of misfiring Hondas, and seen many Bosch parts fail in the cars they are intended for.

Why don't you get some really awesome Autolites for your Ferrari?

timing good? also check your wiring for 02 sensors if your car is still obd0. if you still hvae the 2 one wire o2 sensors ...make sure they are wired corretly to the ecu.they should not be 2 o2 that are wired to the primary input to ecu. also another cause can be insufficient fuel pressure. plug in a fuel gaugeand tape it to the windshield and drive it. should be above 29 psi. i had that problem before and it was a stuck fuel pressure regulator.

it should be above 29 when driving? It is still doing it with the ngk's.
