NEW BRAKE SETUP!!!
Just wanted everyone to check out the new brakes. Im putting them on my 90 std I just got it so im starting from the ground up because there is no use in a nice engine if you dont have the braking or suspension to support it. I picked them up for pretty cheap from a buddy who just did an ls brake swap onto his crx. They are green stuff pads, sloted rotors(mildly do to wear and resurfacing). there is a little rust because they have been sitting for a few months, the rotors have been recently rebuilt, and new wheel bearings. About a month ago i had my drums re-built and once i put these bad boys on I will be riding with a nice new brake system....I recently replaced the master cyclinder & brake booster as well. So, here are a few pics only hours after getting them. I will post up more tomorrow once they are on and let everyone know how they feel.

if i remember right, they're really hard pads. they'll have to be heated to do anything, and will require a lot of pedal pressure. This means that since they don't grind off very easily, they will take some of the rotor with them. They're not a very nice street pad.
if this information is wrong, you have the right to bitch at me.
edit... i have the same tool box in the back of my hatchback.

I had Green Stuff on my Integra, they were great on the highway...usually the tires would squeel if I jammed em hard enough and the road was bumpy enough. However around like parking lots and street light hopping the pads squeeled like crazy. If you plan on using your breaks hard then they are OK, but if you just drive your car normal, I'd say Hawk, even the VGX pads worked fine for me.
PS, I have that tool box too...a real tough guy

Well i guess they will be fine for me until i can offord to buy new pads....atleast they are aftermarket so atleast they are better then the **** ones i have now. haha looks like all ef lovers have the same toolbox's!!!
Oh I forgot to mention, the Green Stuff's I had (mind you this was about 2-3 years ago) dusted like crazy...would cover my wheels after like 2 weeks.
Even back then EBC touted about how dustless they were, but they were the worst I've ever had.....but at the same time they griped real good on the highway.

Ive been to Brainerd Intl. Speedway and MidAmerica with my heavy *** DA Integra and my HAWK pads did not fade once. I tried the HPS line and this year I will be trying out the HP+ line.
Ive never actually used the EBC stuff but from research and hearing about others experiences, they were not too good.
Ive tried AEM ( Nissin modified ), AXXIS, PBR, etc. Ive put the HAWKS to the test on bigger tracks and they didnt let me down.
HAWKS
In regards to your upgraded hubs.....are you using US 90-93 Integra hubs? I believe the attachment point for the steering rack is in a different location so a re-alignment will need to be done.
I had a customer get the US 90-93 Integra hubs and it worked fine after an alignment, but he was disappointed to find out that the steering attachment point on the knuckles would RUB the insides of his LENSO 13 inch drag slicks!
On my own CRX HF ( which I had to swap hubs anyway for B-series swaps ) I opted for some JDM CRX SIR hubs I got from Steve at HondaMotorsOnline.
I see that you dont have the upper control arm with those hubs. I dont know if using your stock control arms will affect your suspension geometry or not.
The hubs I ordered came complete with the upper control arms also.
Good Luck!

on the site now they kinda have a disclaimer about the dust...its pretty funny, cause i kinda remember them saying they are "virtually dust-less"...BS x1000, my rims were coated after 3 days...

Thanx for the feedback it really helped out! I just woke up(its12:40pm) and im about to start work on them ill have pics that ill post when im done...
here are the first pics with them on....we didnt get to finish because there are a few minor setbacks.1 the upper control arm ball joint sutds are rotating when i try to torque them down,2 I wasnt thinking right and i hit one of the studs with a hammer which is why we had to break out the tap and die set....we still didnt get it threded because it started getting cold and dark.3 a few of the balljoint studs are also rotating when being tourqued im going to try to **** wit it again tomorrow but so far so good as far as getting everything out and on.

Here are the old ones...if anyone needs them let me know

Wow....what a crazy past 2 days, i thought that everything was going smoothly until boom we tryed to screw in the axle nut. We didnt have the right axles, apparently, if you have an std the axles arent the same as the dx,si,and hf. The hf's are small and wierd but they are almost like the std's (because of the 4 spd tranny im guessing). So i had to take everything off and hope i could find some axles for cheap. We (me and my buddy that helps me with me car) called around and a friend of ours had some si axles he was gonna use but then realized his we better because they were under warranty. so i went and picked those up for cheap and they didnt quite seem to fit at first but with a little elbow grease boom they were in. we bolted everything up and when i went to get the axles he had a stock sohc vtec header 4-2-1...the std's is a 4-1. we bolted that up as well and have everything on and we started to bleed the brakes, we got it on one side but the other sides bleeder valve screw is stripped to hell so we have to wait til daylight to use some vicegrips or something it open and close it with so we can bleed them through and see how they feel.I had to let everyone know about my scavnger hunt

yea i am gonna put a bracket on the battery there is just so much that needs to happen to this car so that it runs nice and looks decent. they guy that had it before was some mexican drunk.when i first got it there was wiring everywhere for all his subs and amps, there were these nasty looking chrome sprayed rims. he interior has house carpet and was the nicest part of the car. So ive come along way from the **** std u had before im going to try and test the brakes and finish the headers but ill have pics asap

Did you ever find out if your suspension geometry was messed up at all by using the 90-93 Integra knuckles with your existing upper control arms? Here are some pictures showing the difference in mounting points.
How did your turn out??
