Default aem intakes

i want to get a intake from aem. i can get a v2 and a cold air for about the same price. should i go with the v2 or the cold air? but the thing is i can get a bypass system with the cold air. and if i go with the v2 how can i get around the bypass thing. would i have to take it off and go back to stock when it rains? ty

just get the aem cai, most likely you wont "hydrolock" during rain; unless you submerge your filter in a puddle or something, go the with CAI if you want more high end power, and a v2 for stronger mid range. although the short rams can suffer "heatsoak" and maybe result in loss of power. Each has its ups and downs, i myself would choose a CAI over a v2. but depends on what you want.

v2 is like a shortram...so thats why u cant get the bypass for it...also u live in ca so u dont have to worry much about hydrolock

doubt your gonna get 10 whp from a intake but.. the only way that bypass on the cold air works if it is compleatly submerged under water.(filter that is)

get the aem cai, and yes you can get more than 10whp from an intake for a rsx type s. it has been proven many of times. dont get a v2, too much heatsoak, you wont regret the cai
