My Kenwood deck just opens up and sits there as if receiving a CD. I've tried disconnecting the power as well as the reset button, but it just sits there. Anyone know how to fix this or what the issue is?

 

needs to be sent in for service....it done gone "goofy".
its a common problem for the mask units to do this after a few
years.

buy mine dirt cheap no use for it. came with the car i purchased.

 

this happened to me on that same deck, about 3 times actually.....i sent mine in everytime....takes about a month for them to fix it and send it back. mine was no longer under warrenty and it happened for the fourth time, so i called kenwood about it....they send me a brand new 05 model to replace my broken kdc-x717.....so u could always try complaining about it
