Default 1992 Accord F22 Vtec- Help!

i guys,

I bought an F22 Vtec motor to replace the factory motor in my wife's Automatic 1992 Honda Accord EX Sedan. Her car is completely stock and has 238k miles on the original motor and transmission. I bought the Vtec motor with 10k miles on it out of a 97 Accord for 500 bucks, planning to use it to replace her engine whenever it goes out. However, I have decided that for our 1 year wedding anniversary I am going to put the engine in her car for her, as part of her gift. She absolutely loves Vtec engines.

Is there a write-up that is available for this swap, and do you guys have any suggestions as far as making things easier? I"ve never done a swap before in an Accord.

You're probably going to have to trade out the wiring harness and ECU as well. Do a search for fifth gen. to fourth gen. swaps or something like that. That's just from what I've read. Not really my area since I don't plan on doing a swap anytime soon (keeping my fingers crossed).

Man you have the coolest girl ever if you can get her an engine for an anniversary! Props to you! But while you're at it, make a plaque or something for her and install it under the hood as well, they like that type of stuff!

Well, it is only one small PART of her anniversary gift. Her car is a good car, never given her any trouble, but she does worry about her engine having so many miles, and nothing major being replaced on it. She worries that one day its going to crap out on her. And Yes, Schmitey, I do have a cool wife. Thank you for the compliment.
