Honda or any someone like Majestic Honda online, it goes into the back of the cluster into the tranny on back side. Make sure your cable didn't just pop out and just need to be put back in. It isn't bad to put a new one in though.

You can get the cable from any honda dealer, most likely they will have to order it. its not that expensive. But make sure yours just didn't pop out from behind the cluster or on the tranny. It is pretty easy to spot on the tranny. just follow the cable from your firewall and it will lead you to it. If you have to replace it, i will give you some tips to make things a little easier. before you pull the old one out, it comes out through your dash, make sure you tape a string to the end that goes into the tranny to make installation of the new one easy. then when you go to install the new one, if you look behind the lower part of the center console, you will see where it goes through the firewall at. sometimes this can be a pain. then just pull it through to where you get enough slack to put it into the tranny. be sure you put the clip on the vss first and then just push the end into the vss mount and you should hear a click. give it a little tug to make sure it doesn't come out. if its good, congratulations. then plug the other end into the speedo, connest all harnesses and put everything back together again. hope this helps.

go to a junk yard and pick one up for cheep, don't take the old one out util you get the new one, then disconnect the old one from the tranny then the back of the cluster. then cut the end off the cluster and tape it to the tranny end of the new one. then get under the hood and carfully pull the old one out and the new one will follow right thought the path of the old one instead of trying to route the new one through. be carfull not to bend the new one. but this is just a little trick to speed up the process
also i have one for a 89 si if they are the same. i would let if to for 30.00 plus shipping

Heh, funny story, I steal them like crazy whenever I go to the junk yard. But I don't take the outter cable, just the inner piece that connects to the VSS and the gauge cluster. Its so thin I just wrap it around my ancle under my socks and toss a few in my pocket. I know I'm cheap, but everytime they break I have my speedo fixed in a matter of minutes. - Darrell
