Default tire setup for 16's

ok, i got some brand new rays engineering eurostar s05's with a 42mm offset. they're 16x7 and they'll be going on my gsr.

i found a local guy sellin some 205/50/16s' for 150. falken ziex's tires used for 200 miles or so. i might be able to find someone to mount these for free for me.

the discount tire co by my house quoted me at 539 with tax for some falken azenis. mounted and balanced. 215/45/16's. azenis have one hard sidewall, so i don't know if i can find someone to do it for free if i order the tires online. lol

i'm thinking the 205/50's might be too fat for me and they'll rub or look off. then again 215/45 doesn't sound that low profile either. ehh...i don't really know what to choose. any recommendations guys? i have a 2inch drop right now, and will probably drop it lower.

come on, someone has to have some tire knowledge. not everyone can be just running 205/40 or 205/45

215/45/16's are what JDM ITR's come with. 205/50 will be ok, but it'll be much larger than the stock sizing. If I were you, I'd get 205/45's or 215/45's. But if you can work a good deal with the 50's, then go that route. Also, if you're not lowered too much, you won't rub.

I am running 215/45/16 RE-010's. A bit expensive but the puuuuuuuRfect size IMO! If you can't find a 215/45, I suggust 205/45's.

do u care if your spedo is off?? 205/50/16 will make your car slower. what are you looking for? do you care about performance or looks? most of the people who responded so far have posted only opinions. i'm really not sure how that will help you.

i'd really like to get the 215/45 azenis'...but it is pricey. the 205/50's look like a great deal. especially financial wise. but i'd like to use these for looks and performance, so i might take a route away from the 50 series.

the proper size for an integra to keep the speedo accurate is 205/45/16
215 45 will be ok too but 205 50 will be a lot larger than stock and i wouldent recomend that size

to maintain stock size, get 205/45 or 215/40.

205/50 and 215/45 will be about the same size - bigger than stock. plus it looks goofy.

The stock size for the JDM ITR with 16's was 215/45/16 so your car can handle that size. Although the ITR was calibrated for that size so your speedo might be off a little. I however decided to go with 215/40/16 with my ITR wheels becuase I wanted a slightly smaller overall diameter. My speedo is about 5 mph off but I know how to fix that I'm just too lazy, and it doesn't bother me. I can show you a pick if you want.

depends on the offset of the wheels too. I had to run slighty more negative camber in the rear than what the spec should be, so that the tire would tuck into the fender when suspension traveled up.

you could say that 215/45/16 wont rub at stock height.

but theres a chance they might if you are really low

"you can use any offset from 35mm up to 45mm on the Integra. A 35mm will push the wheel and tire out toward the fender as opposed to a 45mm offset which will be closer to the trailing arm." this is a quote from a guy over at team-integra.net i have compared other posts and found these numbers to be consistent. i've got 16x7 with 40 offset. looks fine

16x7 with a 42mm offset, 205/45/16 will be best for your car.

Depending on how low you are it shouldn't rub.
