Default itr/ b16 head vs gsr head with b18c1/ b18c/ b18c5 bottom end?

gsr head has more compact combustion chamber, thus yielding higher static c/r with the b18c bottom end. True?

gsr head has a better port angle on the intake runners. True?

The above statement makes the gsr head better for use for itb's. True?

So is there a greater chance of valve to valve/ valve to piston contact when using the gsr head and big cams (toda b, toda c, jun 3, bc4, etc)?

I am also wondering what it would take to use the toda itb kit with gsr head... mods to make it fit and all.....

Here's what a buddy sent me:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The ITR and B16 heads have more of a curve in the ports leading into the combustion chamber. The GSR's has a more direct path. True, the B16 and ITR heads flow better from the factory (I think your right HC about the 30%), but because of the straighter flow path, the GSR head has more potential for gains from head work. The "pent-roof" design if the GSR's combustion chamber is quite harsh and angular from the factory, but the valves' orientation works well when reconfiguring the combustion chamber to a "clover-leaf" design.

The b16a head's only real advantage over the b18c head is the valve job it recieves at the factory. The valve angle closest the intake manifold is 60 degrees on a b18c head, while it's only 45 on a b16a head. To put that in perspective, imagine how much slower you must take a 60 degree turn that a 45 degree turn, and think that the air does the same thing. Taking your b18c head to a good head porter will give you more power than a b16a head because your head's valve seat angles will be better than the ones on the b16a head. Another side note, the b18c head has a SMALLER combustion chamber volume than the b16a head, giving it a higher CR.</TD></TR></TABLE>

what about using itr lma and valvetrain/ rocker arms, etc in the gsr head? fully interchangeable, right?

Thoughts?
