Default Do I need Springs for 16" wheels???

Hello,
Im getting 16" wheels for my 93 Civic Hatchback. Do I need to lower it with springs? Do I need to do anything special to the suspention or trim? How will it effect my ride, steering etc?
Thanks!!!

you don't need springs, but it will certainly look and handle much better if you do put them on.

You dont need springs but it would be a great upgrade and at the same time you should change your shock too. Also with out springs your car will look a little bit like a 4x4.

anything larger than 16" wheels on a eg hatch like yours will look ridiculous. 15" wheels are an ideal size in my opinion. why are you opposed to getting springs? they do more than just eliminate wheel gap...

Not apposed... I'm just trying to estimate the total cost for this project, and learn a little more about coil overs, suspention, etc... Thanks for the tips!

16"s with 1.8" drop springs would give it a whole new look.

i have Tien SS's, on my integra, its a 1.8" drop, on 17's, and its PERFECT!

if you lower your car too much you will also need a camber kit as well...

just out of curiosity,
do you think that 15's with 195/50 tires would look funny without lowering it?
