Default LS/vtec question about piston ???

hi everyone, i'm doing LS/vtec and i was wondering if i go with the ctr pistons, do i have to do any work to the head becuase of the piston ??

or sould i go with the itr piston ??

hook me up with some info !!!

No. I know people running CTR pistons and Skunk2 Stage 2's so you definately have a little bit of room to play with.

beware, CTR pistons make for some high compression ratios. if you have large cams, which lower your static compression ratio, big pistons like this may be your ticket. if you have stock cams, you may wind up with a static compression ratio of 12:1 or higher, and you won't like what you get. you'll run premium and it will detonate you new block into oblivion. ITR pistons if you have stock cams, CTR if you have bigger cams.

yes, but i'm pretty sure the small end of the LS rods has to be shaved a little to clear the ITR piston. it's been a while, and it will be long time before it get into a block again, but i'm rather sure of it.
