Car shakes upon acceleration and downshifts...
I recently (4 months ago) had my clutch changed.. I went with an Exedy Organic.. While the shop was changing the clutch, they also said i needed new axles. So, i went ahead and got some axles from them too.
After everything was installed, i broke the clutch in for the first 1000 miles. After that period, i started to get on the gas a little more. I noticed that the car would shake at lower rpms upon acceleration. From 2-4300rpm the car would shake some, but after that point it would smooth out. It does it in pretty much every gear as long as im in that RPM range.
Forward to today when the shaking has seemed to gotten worse all of the sudden. Now it shakes not only when i accelerate, but when i downshift too. As the clutch engages it starts to shake, and shakes as it slows down. The shaking as i accelerate has gotten more violent. I also tried to kind of "launch" the car and it shook really violently, mad wheel hop.. Please help me out.. i need this fixed by this weekend.. thanks guys

I had a similar problem but it was just at high speeds that the vibration happened. Turned out to be my axle - there are only so many things that the shop could have damaged and the axles happen to one of them. Check axles, lugnuts (****, you never know!).. I don't think the axle nut would back-out. It could be a lot of things, everyone makes mistakes.
Some guy at Discount Tire forgot to tighten one of my lugnuts one time

Have you checked your spark plugs or had a tune up recently? Mine was doing the same thing and I did not think it was missing but that is in fact what it turned out to be. I would check here for an easy fix first.
If you notice oil in and around your plugs then its probably due to a leak in your valve cover gasket. This is what was wrong with mine and what caused the spark plugs to get fried. So if you notice this then you will need to replace your valve cover gasket or your new plugs will go bad also.
This may not be what is wrong with yours but mine acted very similar and this is what I found to be wrong. Good luck.

I second that. Check the axles - once the clutch is engaged assuming it was installed properly, it shouldn't cause any sort of vibration. That or a loose suspension piece.

does your steering wheel shake left to right and car drift towards one direction?
i'm going through a very similar problem..bump for some help

My motor was running smooth also and I didnt think that it was the plugs but the loss of power from one cylinder not firing is what caused the shaking in low RPM. Im not saying this is what is wrong I am just saying it is worth it to check out. Keep that in mind.
And when I say that mine acted the exact same way... I mean that! everything you described is how mine was acting and I thought the same thing you did. Well ne wayz I didnt think it was what it was and in the end I payed more for not checking that. Running that way can cause major problems but IMHO it is worth it to check. Good luck with it all.
