What is the worst that they can do to you if they see ur ls/vtec?

 

absolutley NOTHING if youre using all honda parts, its oem. and i REALLY doubt a pig is gonna be able to look at it and say, "yep, we got a stock integra block with a b16/gsr head again", but since you live in CA things are probably a little different. the cops in the shittiest place on earth, wisconsin, wouldnt know about it, theyd just give you an exhaust and intake ticket.

 

Are you referencing California only regarding modified vehicles? Because out here they can't do ****.

 

dont give them a reason to pull you over and you'll be ok.

california's awful, if a cop pulls you over and ask's you to pop your hood, and you have a lotta **** under their... well.. you mine as well ask him when your appointment is to get your car reffed.... sucks *** out here... cali

i live in sac but havent been pulled over yet...how much are the tickets actually for mod cars?

 

a ticket to the state ref is about $300

 

shouldn't be a probably if the motor is legit

I had loud apexi N1 exhaust and no front licensce plate forever.. but never been pull over here in Washington. its damn great

when they look at the head they'll just think its a gsr i doubt they know all the chassis codes for all cars...

i don't think their familiar with the integra models man. since when is it a police requirement to be able to spot hybrid swaps and know whether or not a teg is a GSR? i really don't think you have to worry about it.

 

certain task forces with in police units will know- if you are pulled over at a known hot spot for racing etc- they might know - and in any state head swaps are illegal! just most dont care -

 

do they just target imports in cali, or do they do the same thing for domestics??

 

Legally speaking, ANY modification must be DOT (department of Transportation) and/or CARB legal. If you can pass those two things and have proof of it like stickers or certificates at all times then you are allowed to do any modification you want.

So to answer no that is not legal to do , but neither is getting cheap *** altezas (Not DOT approved...i know some are) or something like that. so your stuck with a stock car or do the LS/Vtec and no one will prolly no the difference since it looks stock under the hood anyway

the cops in my area are the ones doing all that ****...

 

come up to Oregon dude. The cops could care less what the hell ya have done to ur car, just as long as u got running lights and blinkers. Plus no sales tax! weeww heww.

 

I guess Oregon beats Texas...the cops don't care about modding your car....I think we rate #1 in crime, and kill 12 or more people monthy that's on death row, so they wouldnt give a **** about ricing out your car...but we have a 8.25% sale tax!

 

I'm with Ben up top. Wisconsin is great. I ran open midpipe and didn't get pulled over, and it was rediculously loud. I drove right past the Police department accelerating.

 

i was reading some post and a guy from Kali got his ls/vtec certified at the state ref with the numbers.
