palmdale that much slower?

Default palmdale that much slower?

well ran at palmdale last month w/gsr eg hatch, and was hoping for better numbers. i hear palmdale is overall a slower track. how much of a slower track is it?

yes it sucks. I consistently did .4-.5 slower than Carlsbad. Its is bad especially for all moter.

cool. thanks, was expecting to hit 14;s with my setup. i see people hit the same times running a single cam. wish carlsbad was open still. instead of driving all the way out to palmdale from san diego.

its not the track thats slow (no offense) must be your driving palmdale is one of the worst track to test n tune but then again, if your fast in palmdale your fast anywhere.

Its the fact that the track is 3k feet above sea level.....thus making the car run slower by .3......but the track is not in great condition either.....

exactly what he said. Air is not as dense and air to fuel will be slightly off. Turbocharged cars will have no negative affects.

its a decent track to test and fine hone your driving skills.
If you are looking for the best 60fts or best ETs, its not always the best track. On race days, they do prep it better and is pretty decent.

All Motor will have an effect no matter what since its a higher elevation, cant point fingers at the track on that. Its just the location.

ya its one of our turbo cars. broke 2nd and 4th gear at that run. wouldnt go in 2nd and trans gave out on 4th.

just testing out a couple things before we make major changes for vegas race/

My RSX-S that I had last year ran 14.6 at NHRA Pomona and a week later I went to LACR and it went 15.4 . Same setup as the week before. 60ft was better at pomona too because the track was prepped really good for the event.
