need help on throttle body install
I purchased an ls throttlebody and had it maxbored for my b16a with aebs manifold. I installed it with a new gasket, calibrated the tps. It was idling a little high around 1400 rpm, and it was really choppy. With light gas it would studder pretty bad and not go above 2k rpm. WOT it would rev up. While running really choppy it was puffing smoke (gas) out the tail pipe pretty far, about 5 feet. I've never seen it shoot that far, and the pooping out really wet (again either water or gas). The b16a tb had two vacuum lines on top of it, while this ls only has one. There is a hole on top though, where it looks like another hose connector should be, but is missing? Somebody please help so i'm not pissing away this $150
BTW, i need to specifically buy THIS one, because the aebs manifold doesnt how accomodations for the fitv, and on cold starts my car has trouble idling on its on, or its at REALLY low idle. Earlier LS's seemed to be the only tb's that had the fitv mounted to the throttle body itself, as opposed to the manifold.
is it from an obd1 car? if it is the other hole is the mapsensor hole you have to plug it up and runa new line for your map sensor, i am using that manifold as well i have my stock 92 b16 throttle body on it, works fine what is that fitv you are talking about?
fitv is the thing that makes the car run when its cold, its the round circular thing ususally under the Tb.
What do u mean run a new map sensor line?? Currnetly there is only one vacuum hose running to the TB, and i switched it for the other loose hose and it made no difference.
i think the tb is obd1, car is obd0
