I got my Ep3
I got a 2002 Black Civic Si two weeks ago and i love it. It is a very fun car to drive and it has more power than i thought it was goin to have. Many of these fake wanabes have already tryed to race me and i have spanked them like i was beatin meat. There are only a few things that i have noticed that bug me.
The wind noise when you get some speed goin, and the freakin GAS GAUGE. I was readin about this so i was prepared for it but DAM. I filled up a full tank, 13.2 gallons, every time i drove it the gauge was down farther, II drove it till the gas light came on and then filled up nouther full tank. but only had to add 9.96 gallons. I had over 3 gallons left in the car and the light came on.
Does this happen to all Ep3s or just some?
Is there any way to fix it?
Thanks everyone- M@

1: You're car isnt fast, Corvettes are fast
Next Have you ever wondered why they call it the Low Gas light instead of the NO gas light? Id rather fill up when i had 3 gallons still in there then when there is no gas in there and i have to push it.

Dont be so mean CBRF4i. And for the money it is decently fast lets see i can get a 2002 Civic Si for like 15k now, you can get a 2002 Corvette for 30-50k hmm can really compare. Next time just dont talk CBRF4i no one wants to hear u bitch anyway...
And Congrats ScratchAddicts. I am actually looking at getting a 2002 civic si black also.

congrats on the ep3. u dont need to go turbo right away. i have i/h/e and it makes decent power. good enough to beat a couple cars. u should do that then save for turbo if thats the way u wanna go. thats what im doing right now
I find it hilarious that people that drive civics talk **** about corvettes...come on kiddo's, do you really feel the need to stereotype a car just because its not in the same league as the car you prefer? Makes you no better than the ones talking **** about the civic. Corvettes should never be compared to a Honda Civic, they are leaps and bounds better in every catagory there is as far as comparison, and thats just a C5...we wont even get into the C6 chassis or any Z06, but in that, they are not anywhere near the same market, class or price. The Civic Si is a sport compact car, it is a respectible little car with a peppy 4cyl. It has enough power to make it semi-fun to drive but also retain its economic stand point with gas mileage and upkeep.
If your going to talk ****...dont be a hypocrite and bitch when someone else does it. CBRF4i was absolutely correct in his saying that the Civic isnt fast...it ISNT. My S2000 ISNT fast in a straight line either...its much faster than some cars, but even with a high 13/low 14sec pass in the 1/4, you arnt fast, your quick...although, fast is certainly in the eye of the beholder. The Civic Si COULD be a "fast" car to you if your used to driving an EX or something...the Civic Si COULD be a "fast" car if you've never had a car of your own. But it is certainly not "fast" by most standards, most hondas arnt.

what good is straight line speed good for if the speed limit is 55-70mph?
if you want to have a fast FWD car, learn to drive it. try keeping up with a decent roadster, like an s2k or miata, in the curves and you'll discover what "fast" is all about. a civic can be fast in the curves, only if you hae the experience. learn and practice on track, exercise restraint on the streets.

What i love is the fact that there is this really funny stereotype that domestic high powered cars like the Corvette, Mustang and such dont stand a chance in handling because their only good for acceleration purposes...nothing against civic owners, but i would LOVE to see even some of the HIGHLY modified civics (of any gen) take on a Z06 or Rousch mustang (which i have seen DISCREDITED on THIS site from civic and integra and RSX owners) in an autocross or road course situation. People assume because front wheel drive cars shine best in the handling department, that they dominate...and this simply isnt true.
Hell...my S2000 would probobly get decimated on a road course by a Z06.

damn, take a side! anything is possible ."fast is certainly in the eye of the beholder" yup, kiss my a**.you have no confidence in ur car and also putting the honda nation dwn.
Thats what im talkin about, who wants to go fast in a strait line? Well a lot of people get there ***** tickled by going in a strait line, its fun, but i would rather take it on a mountain road or a course. Vette, Yeah your faster but bring it, Im not scered. I'll never back down unless a cop is by me. And since I payed just uner 13k for mine, I think i got a better deal. But guys thanks a lot, I can't wait to start hookin my car up.
Future plans:
K20A ITB All-Motor
Drop it
Type-r body kit
17s
Gut out the extra weight
Just keepin it clean, i'm not a fan of crazy body kits, lambo doors or huge stereo systems. (they just add weight)
Thanks-M@

congrats on the ep3 purchase. in my opinion, others on this site will disagree. ephatch.com is a nice site with a lot of information. it would be worth your time to take a look.
