Default H22 swap turbo

After I swap an H22 into my 94 Accord, im gonna wanna turbo it. Can I just buy one of the honda prelude turbo kits? And if so do u get the 4th gen or 5th gen turbo kit? (the H22 I will be swapping in will be a closed deck H22A1 out of the 4th gen)

thanks

actually, a lot of places will let you order the turbo kit for the prelude (h22) with accord piping...you should be ok going that route...most parts are actually the same as the accord kits anyways...

True, but I wouldn't buy a kit at all. Piece one together yourself because you'll just end up upgrading everything anyway It saves money in the long run.

true , for sure you will save alot of money at the end , I will build mind by Pieces and geting at least the best while I can. I still want to low the compresion on the h22a to run alot safety, I know I dont have to but I know I will need it just an case need a high boost I know I dont have to worry about high comp.
Anyway I only want at leas 10 to 12 psi I know I can do it tuned right with a hondata and a p72. will see guys I keep you posted

u r crazy if u think u can safely push 10-12 ibs on a stock h22... 7 or 8 max cause they are already really really high compression motors, they have lots of boost potential but u have to do internals first because when u boost them they have a really weak bottom... if u had the f22b1 like what comes factory u can boost that much more because the compression is 8.8:1 and it has an iron block, accord freak boosted 14lbs and got 269 whp on the f22, where as the h22 is 10.6:1 and has an aluminum block, so u cant boost it as much but like i said the potential is there to have one crazy fast car...good luck man

no though the F22 block its ready for boost even though some of than dont last that longer if you constanly race @ 8 psi . Now the H22a,well tuned I can boost it to 10psi for sure, I am planning to do it but to run alot safety I will low the compresion. late around when I got some cash together I build it than I definily can boosted at to 15 16 psi with pump gas making nice HP.
But I am very happy with the swap I did, the accord move very good a motor with the H22a, its tune with a hondata and a P72 with the knock sensol with it, @ south florida performents with frank. not mention that the engine I buy hads some highs miles already so thats why I did 165.9fwhp and 149fwtk rev' 8000rpm's making toppen at the dayno 150mhr on the last run, figure around 220hp @ the motor. for daily driver its fun and very fast.
also I was goign to tuned with 100shot of NOS but it run lean , I needed some injectors and a fuel pump , I already got the injectors . looking for a fuel pump to tuned with NOS. will see what happens I keep you posted for you guys
