Turbo D16 Blown HeadGasket?
Iv Had the Turbo in for about a month now and im having some problems. Mostly its overheating. It will be totally fine untill i get on it. Then the coolent temp will go sky high then immediatly drop back to normal. The coolant overflow is also overflowing. There is no white smoke comming out of my exhaust, and no oil on my valve cover or in the coolant.
Also I am getting what sounds like a very bad missfire. It will only do it under full throttle and only at certain times. Some days it wont do it at all. But I dont get any check engine lights? It does it alot when i first start up the car then goes away after a second or two. I am ready to change the gasket and install ARP headstuds this weekend but I wanted to see what you guys thought first. Thanks!
Setup:
d16y7
stock internals
5psi
12:1 fmu
(just until I get it tuned)
57t t3/t4
Also: I need help with wich headgasket to buy

I just ordered ARP headstuds but im a little confused on wich headgasket to get. Some people are telling me to get an oem one? Im thinking that a multi-layer metal one would hold up better?Anyone with any suggestions?
