99-00 civic rear bumper question`

HEY i just bought a rear lip from EBAY, and the damn rear lip barely makes it over to the other side, i noticied that the rear lip says on it 99-00 4dr, i email the guy and he tells me that those years the rear bumpers are the same on a 2 dr or a 4dr and any1 could tell me that, can sum1 help me out wit this...
