Default 24.5" Too Tall???? whats your opinion???

well, ive just recieved my wheels today and Im tring to decide if the 24.5x8x13 slicks on there are gunna be too much slick for my setup/vehicle. Ill be running a 90hatch weighing in at around 2000lb with driver and around 200whp/140tq. Tranny will be a gsr/ys1 so my gearing is gunna be decent. the motor is a ls/vtec. im waiting to complete my 2.0 bottom end but in the mean time ill be running my old 1.8 bottom.

let me know watcha think. Im gunna try out the 24.5 too see what happens but was wondering if I would benifit more from a 22 or 23" slick.

I would go with a 22 inch slick. With your gearing and the hp...that other size will be too much gear.

well, compared to the 20" slicks I was running I think it will still be a improvement. Hopefully I wont bogg bad when launching. Ill probably launch off limiter. Id like to keep the tires and give it a shot since my 2.0 will be done in about a month. Kinda get a feel for the new wheel/tire combo. 24.5" has to be a improvement frmo 20" right????

im thinkin they wont improve anything with the current 1.8L. the tire is taller the gearing didnt change and the overall diameter is goin to be a huge difference.

what i mean by that is the rollout on a 24.5 is 77" VS a 22" tire at 70" VS a 20" tire at 64". u will be powering a much "longer" tire.
