Any engine suppliers sell transmissions alone?
I'm looking into buying a shorter geared b-series cable tranny (currently have an a1), but most the engine suppliers I've contacted will only sell full swaps.
I would prefer to buy from a reputable shop because it if grinds I have a better chance of getting my money back (I can dispute the claim with my credit card if they won't take it back). So don't post here saying you have xx tranny for sale, or tell me to look in the classifieds.

I'm sure if you called around to some local junkyards, local people, or local shops they may be able to help you out. I have seen some shops that do sell just trannies but I don't remember which ones they are...if you could get a good deal out of a yard they would have money to have it gone through. That is about the best suggestion I can think of...
Oh hey by the way go look in the classifieds, or PM I have xx tranny for sale

Every once in awhile I see http://www.jhpusa.com selling a used b series cable transmission. However, most importers don't want to separate full swaps.
I called hmo and steve gave me a rant about how he gets 50 ppl a day asking for trannies only. Thanks for the suggestions though.
ya i found out the same thing ur finding out now....sux...i went to every shop in la looking for one and finally found one...paid 600bucks for the tranny and it wouldnt even engage 3rd gear(never got my $$ back...highend motorsports..mike
