apex WS too quiet?
i need a new exhaust, but not something thats gonna wake up my neighbors on the way home at night. I heard the APex WS was quiet, but i havent gotten a chance to actually hear it, does anyone have a sound clip or can anyone describe its sound to me? how does it compare to a stock exhaust or an ITR exhaust?.....thanks guys....
WS on my 98...very quiet until the car/exhaust gets warmed up...i'd say that takes about a 30 min drive if it's in the morning...but after that it doesn't sound very stock...its actually noticeable from inside and outside the car. if u rode in my car after it was warmed up...u'd DEFINITELY know i had an exhaust. Really not that loud at WOT, seems like more engine noise than exhaust noise. low rpm tho, there's some sound...again this is after the car is warm. if u take very short drives which don't allow the car to get too warm, then it would sound very close to stock...cuz my morning drives are very quiet, and my other drives get louder....
great looking exhaust!

If you're not on it, it just sounds a little throaty, but nothing too loud. When you step on it, it's definitely loud. My friends all said my car sounded like super rice.. (AEM CAI/Neuspeed Header/Apex WS)

I wouldnt say too quiet either. If youre looking for an exhaust that won't attract attention yet still provide you with a smooth, deep sound when you punch it, definitely check out the WS.
If you want to turn heads 2 blocks away, the WS is definitely not the exhaust for you.

How bout rust problems, its very cheaply priced, does it have a problem with rust? how well does it hold up?
It's noticeably louder than stock when you first get it, but it starts to sound "normal" after a while. You easily get used to the quietness.

I am trying to decide whether to go with the WS, comptech or the thermal stealth. Any opinions?? BTW, comptech and thermal are both full stainless
No rust at all. Everything looks good as new so far and I've been through 2 snow storms. The piping of the exhaust is powder coated and does not show any signs of wearing off.

I know this topic is specifically about the Apex WS, but a lot of people have said that the comptech is in a similar category in terms of sound and looks. What does the Comptech sound like, and if anyone could post some pics it would be greatly appreciated. I did a search and I did find SOME info, but input from Comptech owners would be great, I can't decide between the Comptech and the WS, even though the price on the WS is so appealing. Just wondering though, as far as build quality and longevity of the exhaust, does the price difference of the Comptech make up for this??? Thanks in advance, Jason.
Hmm, I was looking at your exhaust, and it was looking different to me. Is that for the 4-door?

Here's mine (2 door model).
