I've heard people talking on here about the brace under the rear seats in a teg. I've heard that the earlier (94-96) years didn't have it. Is this true or does it serve as a structural brace instead of passenger protection?

 

No, it's for USDM safety standard in case of a t-bone just like the crossbars inside the doors.

 

What years of the g3 tegs did not have the brace or did they all?

 

I think it either started in 96 or 98.

 

I think it started in '98, but I heard some says '97 has them. I'm sure '96 don't have them.
