96 accord 98 Vtec head possible?

Hey all I have a buddy who just bought a 96 accord with a 2.2 motor, he wants to know if he can install a 98 accord 2.3 vtec head on that block, what will be needed to get it done. Any advice will be greatly appriciated. Thanks

the car needs a head gasket and he has a vtec head off of a 98 ex so he just wants to know if it can be done.
