Default blinker?

i seem to be having problem after problem lately..
this morning after i started my car, it was running fine and there wasnt any problems, then when i go to turn at the end of my street, i noticed my blinker was not working..after i pick up a friend to school i decide to take the route where i need to make only one turn to go to school..while i make this one turn, my blinkers begin to work again. someone told me it could possibly be the wiring? because the stick where the blinkers work on, the high beams turned on and were fine, but it seemed to be just the blinkers. works fine now, but still curious

first off, they are called turn signals. Not "blinkers"!

Secondly it soulds like there is a short somewhere. More information would be nice. Like when you say they stopped working, there was no clicking sound, and none of the turn signals worked? or are you saying that they didn't work correctly such as hyper flashing. Sounds like a short on the switch.

they worked, then there was no signal in the car or outside on the actual turn signal...then everything worked fine after testing my hazard lights

dont think its a short. if the circuit got shorted, the fuse wouldve blown, and your turns wouldnt come back one w/o replacing the fuse. the circuit that the turns are on is probably getting broken somewhere between the appliance and the ground. if you can get your hands on a manual, try to follow the circuit until the ground, checking to make sure all the connections are secure along the way.
