Default Well I am putting in some goodies; cb7 (90 accord) with minor mods.

Well the bug has been itching lately and I have decided I wanted to make my really slow accord, just slow instead .

I have researched as to what my options are and what would provide decent power and remain the most daily driveable. My choice has been narrowed down to a camshaft upgrade. Well since my engine is a sohc f22a motor (with approx 193K and still running strong) my base power is approx 140hp/135tq at the crank factory specs, I am guessing I am running 115 whp and 110wtq with my current setup which is just ebay intake and catback 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust.

I digress.

I have decided to go with http://www.deltacas.com as many people on multiple sites and the regrind is very cheap (85 bucks with core). The specs they gave me are: 260 grind is 190 duration @ .050 and .333 lift which sounds all dandy but I have no clue what stock is (searched forever without anything). delta is claiming to have 10 whp based off their regrind; which sounds like a lot from a sohc.

My second question is this: after installing the reground cam what should I expect adjusting the cam gear?

My third question is this: Should I dyno the car and tune it then or go with a "baseline" and advance timing as needed?

Next mod is to install my bored out TB which is 4MM larger than stock which should provide some decent breathing for the engine.

Comments/opinions welcome .

Leave the camgear at zero, adjust it on a Dyno so you can see if you're actually making power when you advance it. Might want to check to see if that Intake Manifold is ported big enough for that extra 4mm also.

Thanks...I figure leave it alone and dyno then tune it to see if I am making power, as for the bored out TB the IM is big enough to accept it .

I was speaking with a buddy today, and he said he was pulling the H23 manifold and bolting it up to his Accord... He said the H series manifold is better. Might want to see if anybody else has any info on this.

Yea I am on cb7tuner.com and a lot of people have done the h23 intake manifold NTM some have done a h23 head swap which has shown decent gains. If I were to go through that trouble I would probably just do a swap....but I would want my car to be 5 speed first .
