Ok i found out i got ripped buying that y8 longblock. So i am going to used this z6 head. How does it look?





I did this one boring day, not going to use it tho.

 

I would get it milled and hot sinked. The head looks like **** in it's current condition.

 

How much did you pay for it?

 

I pay $115. How do the valves look?

 

that doenst look like a z6 head to me. i dont see any lost motion assemblies. it looks like a d16y5 head from a 96-00 civic hx. you can tell by the roller rocker arms. i might be wrong but about it being an hx head but its def not a z6 head. how do i know? i own a z6 .

 

if what RedDelSol is saying is true, then thats the second time you get ripped.

And that head is in horrible condition

 

looks like its been sitting outside for a while, umm the valves appear to be in good condition.

Like a Y5 head.

The valve cover is definitely '96-00. Looks like it has roller cam followers (a la Y5) and in the 2nd pic, it appears that only 1 intake valve is open (a la VTEC-E).

Damn, that sux because it isn't the right head that you wanted....And the head is in decent shape. You need to have that damn thing seriously cleaned and polished.....U got dicked again

I got this one from ebay
The y8 head i got locally for a bill. i bought the head and he gave me the longblock,and tranny still hook up. That one needs a rebuild. I was suppose to give him the tranny back. I keep calling him and he saids he will pick it up, but never does.
