ok dumb question but hydro to cable?possible?
i know most ppl go from cable to hydro and they make kits for it from hasport n etc.
im asking this cause in my 91 civic hb i have a usdm b16a which of course is cable
but my friend wants to buy it and put it into his del sol but he does not have enough money for a hydro tranny.
soooo we are wondering if u can convert it to cable and how hard is it and what do u need to do? ne info would be cool and appreciated! thanks

Yes, they have kits. Is it worth it? **** NO! I hate Cable tranny, its no where close to Hydro. I dont think its worth the time and money to convert but thats me.
me i like cable and he does too but he wants hydro and he cant afford no 600-700$ tranny right now, and he has had no car for lets say about 2months or so. haha, so he was wondering and even i was wondering if its hard to do..thanks for ur input but neone else got there thoughts or if they have done it? thanks

whats so diffrent with cable and hydro? i personally like cable better. less parts leads to less break downs. ex failing clutch master cylinder, bleeding clutch lines, leaking slave cylinder etc. dont have to worry about that **** with cable

A cable to hydro conversion is only like $200 bucks, i have one from from advid racing componets (hasport also makes one but it's more expensive). I used a 91ls cable tranny in my 93 del sol for quite a while, the clutch felt a bit stiff but it worked fine. You loose the use of the front tranny dampner which puts more stess on the other mounts and causes a bit more motor sway when shifting under heavy load. If your interested in purchasing on used (for about 3 months) i'll sell it cheap. just im me

read down a bit, it says they make the conversion from cable to hydro

hasport conversion are $425
hasport conversion are $425
lets see, first u gotta drill a hole on the cable lever which doesnt take that long if u knoe wut ur doing...the mounts goes rite into place...the conversion itself is pretty easy...i would say 3-4 around there.
the picture above is my b16 tranny in my 98 civic...it should be the same...basically all u have to do is turn the slave cylinder right side up and drill a hole on the lever on the tranny and put the little square thingy they gave u wit the kit u got and it should all fall into place..pretty easy.

if u do a cable conversion on r hydro car then u would need a new mount for the passenger side..i used the cable tranny bcuzz i got 2 b16a cable tranny free from my cousin..he just has 1 lyin around so he gave them to me..
Have him buy my b16a2
You can do it but it's a pain in the butt. My friend had a ton of problems putting in a b16a in his 94 civic. You also will have to update wiring on the motor to ODBI. Just something to think about

If you hace a cable tranny and the del sol is hydro all you have to do is get a slave cylinder and set it up under the clutch lever, run a hydro line from the master cylinder to that and your in business
more or less that's how it works, don't for get that you have to put some sort of ball joint in that clutch engagement lever so it will pivot properly and the top tranny mount will have to be modified if you dont buy the conversion kit.

Not hard at all. I've been running a B18A1 with an S1 cable tranny in my EH2 for over two years now.
$199 is way too much...all you get is two brackets and a tie rod end ball joint. I've considered making a kit and selling it myself, but for a much lower price...pretty much just cost of materials [around $40]. You won't get the bling bling HA Sport mount though.

He's still gonna have to worry about that. If you turn a hydrolic car into a cable, anyone will still have to worry about those problems.
