Did you have a bumpstop? If so not anymore.

shock has been in for awhile, and has had a bump stop too. just took a better look at it, the spacer is busted, i think thats the reason. pushed all the way up through the rubber at the top and broke in half

I believe your collar went straight through the washer that it rests on. You'll need to take off that spring/strut combo, take it apart, find the problem, and replace the busted part. I'm gonna say that it shouldn't cost you more than $2.00 to fix, if you can do the work on your own.

Depending on what it is thats busted i might have something you could use. I have ALOT of extra suspension stuff, i also have 4 spare springs and shocks for parts. So if you need something and cant find it let me know and ill give you a piece. Just pick it up.

ok turns out what happened was the large washer that goes under the 2 bushings got hit so hard it was pushed down passed where the shock rod tapers off at the top. Also the sleve for my coilovers where bent as well becuase they were pushed down pretty far too. but i fixed it so all is good.

I second that. Hit HUGE potholes all the time and I'm 2.5" off the ground. No problems yet.
