Default RIM questions about mugen MF10 and Rota C10

question 1: what color bronze rota C10 looks like a MF10?

sports bronze?
regular bronze?
royal sports bronze? rota gives too many options...

question 2: with a 1.5 inch drop all around, whats the widest tire i can fit without rubbing? 225? 215? 16x7 16x7.5 16x8?

thanks all

If you can afford a ITR you can afford MF-10s.

im not paying ******* 600 dollars a rim for MF10's

so unless you know someone who has them or know someplace to buy them for a good price....

2500 dollars for rims is a tad silly

when c10's arent the same as mugens, but still look damn nice and costs 700 bucks

im not cheap, i have 850 dollar mugen sway bars front and rear

it's just a matter of finding mf10s

Replacing Rotas > Replacing Mugen's

i'd get mugen's if i **** out cash and I don't worry about them getting jacked on my daily driver

I also searched the board for this and someone said that the sports bronze looks nearly like the mugen bronze.

But Brad has the standard bronze afaik which also looks damn nice on his car.

I have the regualr bronze. They don't look EXACTLY like the Mugens but I still think they look damn good. I'm running 16x7 C10's with a 45mm offset. I also have 215/45/16 Azenis. The car is lowered about 2.5" also with no problems.

Hell, you can also buy a set of the Rota bronze, sports bronze, and royal sports bronze for less than one set of MF10's.

NOT SPORTS BRONZE.

They look a bit off...honestly the colors are hard to match, but listen to what Brad said and check his pics out.

Full Royal Sports Bronze is the closest.

Regular bronze is a little too light and will sometimes look grey
Sports Bronze looks like poop hahaha.

If you go to our sponsor's forum, they are much cheaper than 700 Search users DRFlickner and ZX6RR

The company doing a group buy on rotas in the sponsor forum has a website with pics of all their rims/colors.

question 2 - covered like 1000000 times in this forum.

But if you are smart... you realize you spent way the **** too much on an inline 4 and spend the money saved with rota's where it deserves to go.... in your engine bay. Then you can at least save face when a v8 pulls up next to you

Sorry, but I refuse to spend $2k on rims that serve the same purpose as another one that costs 25% of the price.

This is off-topic but there are benefits to lighter wheels. The same argument could be made for a header in the same regard, save the money for the $1300 Hytech or whatever the hell, and spend it on a $250 DC sports that serves the same purpose one makes more power, but you're just arguing that they "serve the same purpose" . Reducing unsprung weight has advantages just like a better designed pay-out-the-*** header... Better acceleration, braking, gas mileage, handling...

I know. But for the average joe you'll never reap the benifits of mugen's over rota's. You can just brag that you wasted $2400 for a set of rims. I understand where you are going with your Hytech vs DC analogy... but it's proven time and time again that Hytech is far superior when used on high hp builds that are tuned properly.

Yes?

A friend of mine forked out $800 on a mugen valve cover. I am 20 hours shy of my mechanical engineering degree... so I understand the functions perfectly fine. I also understand that he wasted $800 bucks for a name in his engine bay.

I tell you what... how about I take my civic with rota's that nets in the 500whp range and we'll do a run to see if your lighter rims save your *** or not, hehe.

I dont drag race, and I dont use very light wheels when I do take my car on a track. Not only that but I have fun with a bone stock car. But I love how it always comes down to horsepower
