Think this Theft Key will work?
I have been over looking all the posts on HT about stolen integras. So i started to think how could i make my own fail safe system. well this is what i came up with let me know your thoughts and tear this apart so I can fix anything that may go wrong.
I was going to reroute some of the engine wiring from the ecu to goto the middle console to a 16 pin female connector which will be mounted at one of the pop outs. which will then continue to the cdrivers side exit and into the engine bay. At this connector I was going to run the 4 injector wires and a few other key components to make the engine run/start. Then with the male side of this connector I was going to run jumpers from pin to pin to make the connections. So I personally find that hot wiring the car would be impossible and a roll back would be the only way to get my car. the connector i would hook to a quik connect key chain connector which would obvious be attached to....my keys.
Let me know your thoughts. Would the extra wire needed to make this work create to much of a voltage drop for key components to work properly?

whoa...too much electronic/wiring lingo..... lol sounds dope though...pics and diagrams would be awesome. Let us know how it works out if you decide to do it!
sounds good.... except u just posted it on here..
so anyone on here wanting to steal ur car... knows whats up.... thus, u get a roll back.
or a loophole.
u could do a fuel pump cut off switch much easier.

well to be honest, I live in southern PA, I live in the middle of knowwhere and now that i have a wife and kid. I drive to my job where its parked at door, and it come to my house which it goes in garage. I personally dont have to much to worry about. I just wanted it for added security. And even knowing what im doing without roll back i dont see how it could be started. I could add the fuel cut off to the key.
I will be making pics and a full right up, but i dont want to do this till i get some feedback on the voltage drop. Im mainly worried about that.

dam, just the thought of somebody stealing my baby PISSES ME OFF. when i see somebody eyeballing, i start going for my pocket, and hopefully i brought the knife or the gun. i always park my car where i can see it from inside the building i'm in. i keep seeing stolen GSR's. seriously, you guys should get weapon licenses. this is the south, here. nobody even blinks when you carry a gun. ****, some kids have guns on gun racks going to high school! i'd rather miss and shoot my car and eventually hit somebody than lose it.
gun>alarm or whatever. theifs are more scared.

Do yourself a favor and either design your own male and female connectors or find some hard to get ones. DO NOT use a common connector from your local electronics parts store. Also for added fail safe you can install 3 pin switches to some of the wires. Just wire them random to make it like a combination lock. sw1 would be on in middle off in bottom and top, sw2 be on in top and off in middle and bottom. Shrink tube the connetor so they can't see the positions of the connections. Make sure you get the right amp rated sw for the line you will install them on.

Im thinking I could even use a 32 just to confuse the peps in case alot of people start using it.
