stepping up to 880 injectors and it seems the weak link in the fuel system is now the fuel filter... are there any filters that will support at least 500hp that use stock fuel lines? ... will the aem filter work?

 

What is wrong with OEM honda? You can use the aem if you custom mount it and use aftermarket fittings and lines.

 

The aem filter will work for up to 500hp but they do not have an application for the 88-91 civic/crx so I am not 100% sure if the stock lines will work. If you are going that high why not just replace the lines and run an inline filter like the bg unit.

 

# 1 stock will become the bottle neck .. it just doesnt flow that well..

#2 just wanted an easy fix is all

im assuming you have a high powered fule pump already...

if you think the filter will be the bottleneck what about the lines themselves?

i had to drop the tank when i did my rear disc brake swap and my lines were really nasty, im going stainless sometime before my next engine swap bc of how bad they looked.

just go stainless steel with an inline. i mean if your really going to run 500whp and spending tens of thousands of dollars to do so, dont skimp out on something simple like that.

 

you have a point.. they could be bottle necking the system..

decided to rework fuel system ..

3/8 stainless hardline up... swage lock to 8an through filter/rail... 6an back then 3/8 to tank
